MOAR

It is demanded.

You shall provide.

Rave4Yourself responds:

My cat is a delicate soccer potatoes rule the sky in a box he's right there.

Damned impressive.

I gotta say, I don't normally listen to hip-hop, but this is one of the best-produced songs I have heard on here.

Very impressive, and hell, five for you + McAwesomeBurger.

I wish I could give you some more in-depth criticism, but I'm no expert on hip-hop.

Five't- 4.65 to 4.68.

Nothing clashes, and the mixing levels are perfect. Well done.

mseemercury responds:

thx bro it was higher but theres a fake movement going around and they cant stand the real

That piano

Is awesome.

I can't imagine why. I like this song a whole bunch, and I wanted to put off reviewing it until the new version was uploaded. And you did a really good job with this! From what I've heard of the other submissions, this one really stands on its own.

The piano is an awesome way to start the song, and the trance/techno elements only add to the awesomeness. It has a driving beat and it fits the picture awesomely.

For this being your second song, I'm blown the fuck away. If you listened to my second song, it was nowhere as good as this. I can't wait to hear what you come up with. :D

McAwesomeBurger for you? :D

RenoakRhythm responds:

MMMMMmmm yummie McAwesomeBurger, with cheese. I watched Iron Man last night for the first time.... lol, I want an American Cheeseburger, press conference.... but cheesburger first.

Thanks for the review and thanks for helping get those pianos sounding more real. I've had a couple other submissions, but they were WIP's (work in progress) and I just removed them after I got some reviews. I kept my first submission up because thats one of the only copies of that song i have (lets just leave it as I had a nasty virus and had to reformat).

BUt anyways, I really appreciate the support and help, its really encouraging and I'm feeling more inclined to spend more of my free time composing instead of being a bum at the beach - though the surf has been good this week. I"ll definitely make sure the next thing I upload is something quality.

Again, thanks.

WHOO CTSG 2

Some of the best stufff on her in a while. And at 3:13 sounded like the sound track for an evil circuis.

No fucking kidding. That was a BITCH to figure out what to do with it. >:(

Can't believe I never reviewed this masterpiece.

McAwesome.

Rig responds:

INDEED.

Johnny Cash hip hop?

Interesting fusion of elements here.

Okay, now let me start this off with a little disclaimer:

I know pretty close to jack shit about rap/hip-hop. It's not really something I'm a fan of.

However, this seems to have pretty good production values insofar as mastering goes, and the levels are pretty nice, and it's calm, and I like it.

There's just one MAJOR problem though- it's too short. You really don't have any long enough pieces written to show your actual ability as far as music composition goes, I mean sure, these are nice loops, but trying to come up with some baseline of your skill to go off of is damned impossible to do from three loops.

MAKE ME A DAMN SONG.

That's all I ask.

GODblamIT responds:

yes, sir...

Interesting.

Yeah, you've got the arrangement and melodic parts of music down :D

Now all you need are some awesome samples, synths, whatever have you, and HOPEFULLY you'll be able to use Reason for that ;)

Love the harmonies you've got going on, and I think the only complaints I could have with this song come on the technical aspects. Beyond those, this is pretty damn good. Now I'll have to look at something newer of yours :D

Sanryd responds:

Sup Solus,

thanks for the review. Um, my technical skills have not gotten much better, but I am currently going through tutorials in FL studios and will be getting reason 4 soon and learning that program. Um, i don't have anything that really is "good" yet.... but I think I wont release another song until its good. I have a bad habit of writing songs in a couple hours then uploading in before i really give much thought to it.

I'm currently working on a dance piece, and will be releasing it under a different user name.... so that way the one account will have only songs i think aren't super beginner. And I'll keep uploading experimental stuff on this account.

I really appreciate the review.

It's awesome.

You know it's awesome.

I know it's awesome.

In fact, one may say McAwesome.

Also, I'm impressed that you've responded to 194 reviews :D

DavidOrr responds:

Wow McAwesome, thanks!

I try to respond to as many reviews as I can. I figure if someone likes/hates something enough to comment, I should at least take the time to let them know I've read the review.

Echoz showed me the awesomeness.

Seriously, sax ftw.

I'm a saxophone player, and too few people use it. It's just such a versatile instrument. :(

Honestly- I love the melody, and the drumline goes with it perfectly.

Wouldn't change a thing.

McPerfectBurger for you? :D

TimeBender responds:

Everyone loves the sax! :D Thanks for the review, and your a sax player which makes you 3 times as cool and this review 45times as meaningful <3

Wow.

Love the piano work.

Seriously. That added to the very, very, quiet and atmospheric strings, makes this piece captivating.

It may be simple. But it's powerful nonetheless. Honestly- I don't know what to say about this one.

A McAwesomeBurger for you, perhaps?

BlazingDragon responds:

I'm a bit worried this won't do well in MAC8 due to the simplicity (And the fact that Winterwind-NS, Simon-F, JoshHunsaker, SmartPoetic, and others are submitting!). Your review is very reassuring however. I like to think that I packed all mmy emotions into this one, despite it's simplistic form. I just hope that's enough.

It is great to recieve a review from a good musician here. I really enjoy some of your music!

Thanks for the review,
~Blaze

Dun dun dun...

Child killer much?

But alternativesolution is right. Not so much sorrowful, as much as sinister.

Me likey. Pizzicato with the choir feels oh so right.

But your choice of synth at 1:23... eh. It's a very abrupt change. The pizzicato synth with it doesn't work too well, there's a few sour notes. But I think you were going for that, right?

However, when you add the gated synth, that's a very nice touch.

Though I could imagine a gone-crazy robot going through town, dancing, and killing the shit out of everything without trying.

It's a fun image.

EchozAurora responds:

Perhaps the little evil bit of me leaks in a bit more than expected... especially with emos involved.. yeah.. sinister. It works. Maybe the theme for a guy that sneaks into an emo club with a razor-blade dispenser.

Or a robot apocalypse.. I do like that image as well.

As for the bit of sourness.. yeah.. I wanted to get a bit of dissonance going. And I meant for the change of synth to be very abrupt actually, so I'm glad that came through as it did. Then I wanted it to kinda come together in the end.

It does kinda come off with more of a horror-esque, sinister feel rather than just sadness. Perhaps someone contemplating suicide and finally deciding to off themselves at the end of the song.

Thanks for the review man!

Survive the impending zombie outbreak. Ask me how.
