Here I come, to review and shit...

Car door- nice.

Segued very nice into the techno-ey ness.

I could very well see this being used in a club.

A breakdown with long pads, however, is something this song seems to need. Like taking a breath.

...oh. Never mind. :D

Nice synths, everything fits very well. Not exactly the most diverse track, but it doesn't get irritatingly repetitive.

I likes.

FIFENT AND MCAWESOMEBURGER'T.

Meh.

Make the battle sounds stereo-ish and you've got them.

Seriously. This has great potential, and all it needs is a few clanging swords.

Though it doesn't quite seem complete. Where are the booming bass drums? That seems to be the only thing it needs. Very well organized, everything audible (damn I love that bell sample you keep using... GIMME) but it doesn't seem to be booming enough when it gets to the battle. You've got just the thing, though that crowd sound is annoying. A perfect example of how to work that would be in Nightwish's Tenth Man Down.

Anywho, while I like it, it's not your greatest work, and it needs work.

Whee sword echoey thingy.

FOUR FOR J00

MaestroRage responds:

Ah, you're the second to say those battle sounds are monotonic. Then it's official, they is quite in need of replacement. I didn't think they was that bad!

Oh well. Fix my error filled ways!

This is part one of a two part planned piece, thats where the booming madness is supposed to step in :D! I hope you'll hear the second part too, for I plan on bringing heaven to earth, and then slay everything that floats and glows all pretty.

In any case, I appreciate the review, thank you for that, i'm glad you found it enjoyable :)!

BASS OF DOOOOOOOOOM.

I'm drowning in bass. And that's a good thing.

However, a good bit of the song suffers from so much bass, but when you dropped it out, it was like a breath of fresh air.

Phasing is fun, ain't it?

Anywho, it's pretty awesome, I like the song a lot.

Though that snare sounds pretty lonely and low-quality. Makes me sad.

Anyways, definitely good for a five and McGreatBurger.

Keep it up. :D

Pulse6 responds:

Thanks for the review Solus!

And what about the McGreatFries? lol. Thanks again!

BELL SO PRETTY.

I want that bell sample/soundfont. >:( GIVE ME.

And yay for the Bassexp. I'd recognize that sound anywhere :D

All in all, very well done. I'd like to know just how the hell you manage to do these all this quickly! >:(

Amazing work thar.

McAwesomely amazing.

MaestroRage responds:

It's totally something I fund fer free!!!

That Bassexp is the best thing to grace my tree directory I tell you what!

I can do these at a high pace because I spend 2 hours every day kicking kittens and puppies, and Satan blesses me with energy.

Thank you for the burger, and teh review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Much better.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about. With the start-stop intro, and the awesome non-detached sounding percussion, the pretty pads that linked the silence, it all falls together in this piece. Shame no one else has reviewed it :D

Definitely an enjoyable listen, and professionally put together.

I expect awesome things from you.

Fifen't and the recipient of a McAwesomeBurger.

(Piano so sexy :D)

Sylacone responds:

its a shame no one comes to my page.

and I do expect some things from myself, but me being unable to provide due to stuff like, limited samples and people dying... its been hectic.

Hoping for more?

Good. Always hope for more. But also always be willing to work for it. :D

PSEUDO-SAGE WISDOM ASIDE, there isn't really much to this track that sets it apart. Definitely got a nice rhythm to it, but the percussion sounds detached from the track, as if it's not really part :D

You sliced up a drum loop, if I'm not mistaken?

Anyways, I liked it, but not much beyond that. I see potential :D

Fourfen't. :D

Sylacone responds:

Yeah, more like 9 drum loops... Doesnt matter, I wanted something for the occasion, seeing as my grandpa died. It sounds nice, thats all that matters.

Wow.

Ten bucks says I can tell you where the first couple seconds of the song is from.

Not saying anything, but Lacrioso is a master of wasting nothing, apparently :D

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

What did I think of when I was listening to this?

You know those dramatic moments in movies, where the camera is centered on one person, and it slowly pans out and in circles slowly going above that person.

Now, imagine that on a small island, ivory white sands and whatnot. One man, under a tree, sleeping in the shade.

I can find nothing wrong with this piece. Beautiful sound, beautiful mood. You guys should make a CD, I'd buy it, that's for damn sure.

McPerfect. No question.

-Solus

(By the way, you guys have got to teach me one of these days.)

MaestroRage responds:

heh, I didn't recognize the first ten seconds as anything, but then again I listen to surprisingly less then I should in the field I work in :/...

That imagery works out quite well. Merging them both eh. On a tropical paradise... man this song is going to give me some dreams tonight! I hope there's food on the island :(.

We'd be happy to show you what we know Solus! Hit us up, and we'll hit you back equally hard!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Since you were so nice...

I realized that you had reviewed a few of my songs, and I hadn't checked out any of yours.

A travesty, I say! So let's start with this one.

Wedding-ish, yeah. It doesn't necessarily have to be a wedding, but, fucks, this is awesome. I have chills up my spine. And that, my friend, is exactly what I love to feel when I listen to music.

In fact, I could see it in a movie, where the hero is proclaiming his love to the heroine.

Beautifully done.

McAwesome? Nah. McPerfect. :D

-Solus

(Oh, and by the way- yeah, louder violins. :D)

Pretty.

I think that the only problem with this song is possibly the repetition of the main theme. Maybe you should change it up a bit? I like how everything fits in the song together and you manage to keep everything audible.

Yep, definitely sounds like something from a spy movie. The percussion was simple, but very, very well done.

I can't believe I haven't been looking at your stuff before! :p

Anyways, that's a fifen and a McAwesomeBurger for you.

preffertobedead responds:

Thank u for the review Mr.Solus lol...and for the McAwesomeBurger...im really hungry right now...i think my next track will be something really fast and frantic...=)

Hokay.

Awesome melodies. Good piano samples. Nice strings and pad work.

Though one thing's really bothering me... the drums. Not the pattern of the drums, the samples. They sound low quality. Also, increasing the volume on them a bit would work.

It's a nice song, but yeah, the abrupt ending :D

Can't say I didn't have that problem with Resonance, but I think I fixed it (the version which I haven't posted on NG.)

Anyways, nice stuff. Fifen't.

-Solus

(Told you I would, didn't I?)

BMC-Audio responds:

yea, thanks for the review! the snare, i dont think was THAT bad, i dunno i guess it had room for improvment. i had a reason for making it quiet, i didnt want to take the attention of the piano. same with the strings. im glad you liked it, thanks for the 5!

Survive the impending zombie outbreak. Ask me how.
